General anaesthetic – dental treatment free from worry
Even larger dental procedures can be carried out during one general anaesthetic. Before a general anaesthetic can be administered, our staff will draw up a detailed treatment plan and present you with a cost estimate. Detailed planning is required to ensure that all necessary dental procedures can be carried out during the same anaesthetic. An anaesthetist and a specialist nurse will monitor you throughout the treatment. After you come out of your general anaesthetic, you can expect to feel drowsy for some time. Our staff will be on hand to make sure you have had enough rest before you are discharged and can return home. In some cases involving less extensive dental work, conscious sedation might be the best option.
If you are interested in receiving a general anaesthetic during your treatment, please discuss it with your dentist so that we can plan your care appropriately.
